    The Mission 2-way Bookshelf Speaker offers many additional features making these speakers an excellent choice for all levels of hi-fi and home cinema integration.

    Advanced DiaDrive cone system features a front inverted dome cone that delivers smooth response, driven by secondary sub cone to transfer maximum transient impact from the motor system.

    Oversized magnet motor system offers high sensitivity for maximum dynamic impact from any amplifier. The new ‘ring dome’ treble unit offers high levels of musical detail with low distortion - the usual dome cavitation effects are avoided.

    The Mission 2-way Bookshelf Speaker, slot port is profiled to reduce ‘chuffing’ distortion, yielding accurate bass performance Carefully crafted acoustic crossover slopes achieve perfect integration between the drivers for a seamless performance.

    The crossover uses a laminated iron core bass coil, audiophile standard polypropylene capacitors, spaced on the PCB to avoid magnetic field interaction.

    These Mission 2-way Bookshelf Speaker boxes are fun, with a lovely energetic character that takes a grip of the listener and refuses to let go. We start with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s Can’t Hold Us and the Missions revel in the song’s unstoppable momentum.

    They charge along with this piece, delivering plenty of agility and insight. There’s lots of punch to that thumping bassline along with an impressive amount of grip.

    Bass notes are delivered with vigor and a surprising amount of weight for a speaker of this size. We like the way the QXs time too. They deliver the song’s hard-charging rhythm with plenty of verve.

    The semi-circular arc shape of the cabinet corners smooths diffraction from the drive units, yielding better power distribution into the room. The inclusion of aluminum top and bottom plates to the cabinet not only gives an attractive, high-tech appearance to the Mission 2-way Bookshelf Speaker but also enhances sound quality.

    The added mass and stiffness reduces resonance from the cabinet walls, lowering collaboration and distortion. The new slot port design features ribs to enhance airflow and avoid the "chuffing" often heard from bass-reflex ports. The result is enhanced low-frequency performance with lower distortion.

    Reverse Geometry Driven Design:

    Mission QX series utilizes Mission’s classic IDG (Inverted Driver Geometry) driver format. By positioning the treble unit below the bass/midrange driver, the length of path is equalized so the sound waves coincide at the listener’s head height.

    This principle improves ‘time alignment’ and thus transient performance.

    Treble Unit:

    Offers high levels of musical detail with low distortion – the usual dome cavitation effects are completely avoided. Mission’s exclusive ring dome utilizes a woven, textile material formed in a double ring arrangement.

    The combination of textile dome and multi-ring surround applies optimum stiffness to the maximum radiating area.

    Back pressure from the Mission 2-way Bookshelf Speaker diaphragm is vented to a twin rear cavity, reducing the resonance and maintaining a wide operating bandwidth.

    Woofer:

    Natural midrange quality with superb bass transient impact is provided by a seam-free curvilinear cone formulated from a mixture of soft pulp and acrylic fiber specially designed for midrange clarity and lucidity.

    Backing the curvilinear front cone is stiff, conical support with increased area of contact with the voice coil for outstanding transient impact.

    The surround drive unit and fixing screws are cleverly concealed behind this unique trim design giving a highly technical look to the front face of the speaker.
